Established in 1946, this college has been producing medical graduate doctors. It was the brain-child of Parsi Philanthropist, Byramjee Jeejeebhoy who donated money and land for its establishment. The medical science courses offered are affiliated to Pune University. The Sassoon Hospital was built by Jewish Merchant family to serve the poor and needy.
